Who doesn’t love a good podcast? Listening to a podcast episode while folding laundry just makes me happier!

It gives any mundane chore a much-needed upgrade! If you’re a podcast lover like I am, you’ll definitely enjoy this article. I’m going to list podcasts that I enjoy, and why I like them. Let’s get into it!

‘The World and Everything in It’ podcast

In a nutshell:  high quality news podcast (with Christian journalists, Biblical worldview)

[Average episode length: 35 minutes]

If you’re looking for a news podcast that gives a Biblical worldview, this is the podcast for you!! At the beginning of each episode, a reporter will give the news (for about six minutes). The rest of the episode is broken up into different segments, speaking on “hot topics,” important news in our country, and around the world. I really enjoy this podcast. The team at “World” chooses interesting, prevalent topics to make their listeners aware of, and they do it well. I would recommend this podcast to anyone; it is an amazing resource!

‘The Compelled Podcast’ by Emma Mae McDaniel

In a nutshell:  a young Christian wife and mom, strong in her faith, giving encouragement and mini-Bible-study episodes

[Average episode length: 15-20 minutes]

I have been “following” this young lady for a few years now, and she is amazing! Emma Mae McDaniel is a young wife and mother, with a deep love for Jesus that shines through in herself. She’s also written several books: Be Loved; All-Caps YOU: A 30-Day Adventure toward Finding Joy in Who God Made You to Be; and You Are: Realizing Who You Are Because of Who God Is.  Emma shares biblical truth in a gentle yet powerful way. This podcast always leaves me feeling encouraged and inspired– If you’re looking for encouragement and truth, this is a great choice for a podcast!

‘Relatable’ by Allie Beth Stuckey

In a nutshell:  Allie Stuckey narrating her own opinion alongside Biblical truth on news, theology, and culture

[Average episode length: 1 hour]

We’ve reached my most favorite podcast on this list. I’ll try not to gush too much:) Yes, the episodes are long. However, I like to choose the episodes I will listen to based on my interest and lack of knowledge. For example, Allie had a conversation about chronic health issues with a medical professional that left the field. That was something new and interesting to me, and I loved that episode. I highly recommend choosing what to listen to in this way. She is an amazing host with great Christian values, a sweet family, and interesting takes/opinions on many topics!

‘Abide Meditation’ podcast

In a nutshell:  a Christian meditation podcast with a narrator speaking a Bible verse, helping you to relax your mind

[Average episode length: 35 minutes]

Sometimes it helps to be coached through a session of relaxation where we can unwind and listen to the truth about God’s Word. This podcast does that, and I highly recommend it. In the podcast, the narrator centers on a specific Bible verse, highlighting the themes of that verse/passage and how we can trust in God to give us what we need that day. It is super calming:)

Summary

Ultimately, I hope that these podcast ideas spark your interest to start listening to one! Have a blessed day and a great rest of your week!
