I went through a time in my life around 3 years ago when I was having suicidal thoughts. Yes, me, the motivational speaker. Total attack from the enemy and I’m also never taking Ambien again. Thank the Lord that scary phase of my life only lasted several weeks, but my husband’s story was a completely different ordeal. We also had several friends take their own lives since last November, so this topic is weighing heavy on my heart at the moment.

Luke was a missionary kid who grew up in Africa for half of his childhood. He then came back to the states alone in his early 20s. Why We Should All Take an Annual Vacation!

Our recent refreshing trip to Ireland...

Taking an annual vacation provides valuable benefits for our mind, body and spirit. It is critical we take time for ourselves so that we can give to others.

annual vacation

I hardly take a vacation. I got that habit from my dad. He was a dairy farmer from Pulaski, WI. I grew up watching him work the farmland and provide for our family. So much so, that he now tells me he wishes he would have taken more time to hang out with our family.

A pastor once said that we should live by the 7-7-7 rule. Every seven months spouses should take a getaway trip. Every seven weeks do a family trip. Every seven days do a date night. This sounds fantastic.

satan clubs

When news broke that satan clubs were coming to elementary schools this fall across our beloved nation, I had to reread the headlines. Is this the same country I grew up in as a child?

After doing some research on Doug Mesner, who is one of the co-founders of the Satanic Temple and is actively pushing for after school satanic clubs in schools, my blood began to boil. Our very children’s lives are at stake. Their tag line on their website states, “Educatin’ with Satan.” HELL NO (pun intended), is my response. green drink

From the moment us moms wake up and our feet hit the floor, we want to give our best to all of those around us, from kids, husband to co-workers. Many times, we forget to take care of our own body. There are constant battles we face that without a strong immune system, we would be in bed and not on the front battle lines. Therefore, one of my secret weapons to keep myself and my family healthy is by making my power-packed green drink. I don’t know about you, but for as long as I can remember, it’s always been a challenge to eat the USDA recommended 5-9 servings of fruits and veggies each day. That’s like spending the entire day eating at the kitchen table – yeah right.
