It’s easy to be an armchair quarterback – to look at the younger generation and declare, “Those kids are just plain crazy!”Â
Every generation gets tempted to go down that road. Indeed, an older generation often wrestles with the needs and perspectives of a newer one. Just look at the “Flower Power” era, or the rise of progressivism in America in the 1920s. Now, it seems as if the newest generation, Gen Z and Gen Alpha, are poised to take the mantle of youthful power – but here’s the thing: they’re more curious about Jesus than ever before.
In 2024, the sale of Bibles in the United States jumped 22 percent. According to Premier Christianity:
Today’s youngest generation is looking at the Bible – and faith in general – with fresh eyes. They aren’t necessarily against the Bible, but they aren’t predisposed to trust it either. Instead, they are seeking spiritual guidance and wisdom to help them navigate both their personal lives and larger world events. For those who know and love the Bible, this is a crucial moment of opportunity.
According to a survey from Barna, more than half of Gen Z teens are motivated to learn about Jesus. Unfortunately, perhaps due to the extreme stressors (political, economic, and social) of this era, Gen Z also has higher rates of depression compared to previous generations. It’s no wonder Gen Z is spiritually curious – they’re not finding happiness in political agendas or cultural crazes.
They need the saving grace of Jesus Christ, and what a wonderful development it would be if the youngest generation spearheads the greatest revival this country has seen in decades!
Let’s commit to praying for the youngest generations coming up in the nation – praying that God would open their eyes to the truth, soften their hearts to accept the Gospel, and move them mightily to recapture this country as one nation, under God, as it was meant to be.

Dr. Katherine Pasour – Preparing Your Gen Z Students for College
The transition from high school to college is a significant one, and for many young adults, it marks a departure from the familiar routine of home and an introduction to a whole new world of ideas, worldviews, and challenges. With this in mind, Dr. Katherine Pasour wrote a faith-based guide for the tricky college years: Stay the Course – A Devotional Handbook to SURVIVE and THRIVE In Your First Year of College (And Beyond). Why do kids lose their faith when they go to college? How do young college students prepare for the college experience and prepare themselves to be challenged in what they believe? Katherine offers advice on how to overcome these obstacles and what to do if young students find themselves being treated unfairly by classmates or instructors because of their Christian faith.
