Disney’s ‘Proud Family’ reboot stokes flames of hatred, division with CRT

Disney is not the magic kingdom it once was. Sadly, the company has unflinchingly embraced a radicalized agenda over the last decade, using their mammoth platform as a bludgeon with which to indoctrinate children with far-left talking points and ideas.

Don’t believe me?

After two failed box office blunders in 2022 (Lightyear and Strange World), it would seem that the extreme LGBTQ agenda that has been sprinkled into its “kid friendly” films has turned U.S. families more than a little sour to the taste of the House of the Mouse. As reported by RSBN, Disney Plus, the premier streaming service launched by the Mouse corporation in 2019, lost 2.3 million subscribers in the first quarter of 2023.

This comes as no surprise to anyone who has keyed into what Disney has been pumping out in their television shows and films. Lightyear, for example, featured a highly controversial “gay kissing” scene, while Stranger World featured the first-ever openly gay Disney character.

As shocking as this may seem, most parents don’t seem to want to expose their small children to mature themes regarding sexuality and gender. They just want to watch a fun movie and go home.

Disney’s profit loss seems like a drop in the bucket compared to their multi-billion dollar corporate entertainment behemoth, but it shows, at the very least, that people are fed up with the “wokeism” being inserted into what seems like every entertainment vehicle available to them.

“Dino Ranch,” for example, a Disney Junior show, (and it also streams on Disney Plus) was caught red-handed last year featuring a scene in which two “daddy” dinosaurs just wanted to have a baby of their own. Keep in mind that this show is marketed for preschoolers.

And now, the latest reboot of the once-popular Disney Channel show, “The Proud Family” is catching heat for highlighting overtly racist themes with its insertion of Critical Race Theory into several themes of its new season.

For reference, “The Proud Family” was originally launched in 2001 and concluded in 2005, featuring a cast of animated African American characters who comprised the often-highly humorous Proud Family. The show was long-running and popular, with reruns showing on Disney Channel for years.

The newest version of the show is a sad joke. Titled “The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder,” there seems to be a singular agenda underlying the “kids” series: divide and stoke the flames of hate.

One scene features the juvenile members of the cast delivering a presentation on slavery for Juneteenth.

The dialogue proceeds like this:

“This country was built on slavery, which means SLAVES built this country. Tilled this land from sea to sea to sea. First there was rice, tobacco, sugar cane. Then Whitney did his thing and cotton became king. And WE were its soldiers. FOUR MILLION STRONG. Fighting for America’s freedoms even though we remained America’s slaves – built this country, the descendants of slaves continue to built it. SLAVES BUILT THIS COUNTRY.”

Here’s where the underlying ideas of CRT rears their ugly heads:

“And we, the descendants of slaves in this country have earned REPARATIONS for their suffering. And continue to earn reparations every moment we spend submerged in systemic prejudice, racism, and white supremacy that America was FOUNDED WITH AND STILL HAS NOT ATONED FOR.”

Oh, wait. It gets better:

“We made your families rich,” they proclaim. “From the southern plantation heirs to the northern bankers, to the New England ship owners. The Founding Fathers, former presidents, the Illuminati, the New World Order – SLAVES BUILT THIS COUNTRY.”

They also poke fun at President Abraham Lincoln, facetiously remarking, “They say LINCOLN freed the slaves, but slaves were men and women. And only WE can free ourselves. EMANCIPATION IS NOT FREEDOM.”

(Note: What is with them mentioning the Illuminati and the New World Order in their threadbare, fictional rewrite of American history? I found that very odd and very disturbing.

They also note that their “account is still outstanding”- again, alluding to the need for reparations, jabbing, “we demand our forty acres and a mule.”

Everything here is taken straight from the bowels of the insidious tenants of Critical Race Theory, and it is remarkable that Disney would so openly include this in something marked to children.

Then again, maybe not.

Another scene accuses a white character of having “white fragility” because he is “defensive about race.” One of the characters openly promotes the book “White Fragility” by Robin Diangelo.

NOTHING UNUSUAL TO SEE HERE, FOLKS. THIS IS TOTALLY FAMILY FRIENDLY.

There is yet another scene in which one of the main female characters, Zoey, gets slammed by her Black friends for dating a Black boy. “The ONLY reason he asked her out is because, she’s WHITE,” one of the girls says.

Another character jokes, “My cousin says no one’s favorite chocolate is white. No swirls.”

The entire show is poisoned by this malicious dialogue, pitting white characters against Black characters for absolutely no reason…except, of course, to push the underlying racialized agenda.

The show is an embarrassment to Disney’s animated catalogue and an indicator (and glaring piece of evidence) that the once-supreme animated bastion has sacrificed itself on a hedonistic altar of progressive agenda-pushing and globalist ideology.

Disney’s future is grim. Unless they completely root out the evils of godless progressivism that is doggedly destroying their shows and movies, there is little doubt that Disney will become no more than just another entertainment company that mature parents will unilaterally avoid.

Disney’s decision to push CRT in their newest show is not surprising, but it is disappointing, nevertheless. No child – or adult – should be forced to choke down this communist, divisive drivel for the price of a streaming subscription.

Do better, Disney (but they won’t).
