Do You Believe In The Amazing MyPillow Miracle?

by Lisa Lotito

Miracles still happen,

Just ask the MyPillow man, Mike Lindell.

If your child has trouble falling asleep tonight, try a bedtime story.  The Miracle of the MyPillow Guy.  It is a story about Mike Lindell; the inventor of MyPillow

It is a tale about drug addiction, finding Jesus, and the creation of a successful business.  It is a story that will inspire and encourage children.  The Miracle of the MyPillow Guy may even inspire you!

Let’s get started.

First of all, as an outspoken supporter of President Trump, Mike has recently been in the news.  His documentary Absolute Proof provided evidence supporting the alleged election fraud. Soon after the video was released, Mike was censored and banned on social media.  His MyPillow merchandise was removed from a number of retail outlets. But through the adversity, Mike witnessed God’s hand at work.  His pillow sales are skyrocketing.

Mike’s story begins in 1977. He was 16 years old.

Mike had trouble sleeping and never liked his pillow.  While working as a bag boy at a local grocery store in Minnesota, he purchased a pillow with one of his first paychecks. Over the years, Mike’s pillow predispositions never faded.  However, in 2004, the idea for his pillow business came to him in a dream.  He woke at 2 a.m. one night and frantically began writing the words “My Pillow” down everywhere.  Convinced the dream had come from God, he and his son Darren spent hours on prototypes.  Mike even taught himself to sew!

The MyPillow dream begins!

Later he made several dozen pillows and started selling them at a local mall.  One of his customers was a home show promoter.  Furthermore, the promoter was so impressed with the pillow he invited Mike to be a vendor in the Minneapolis Home Show.  The pillows sold out at the show.  Soon after, MyPillow would become a household name, which Lindell considered a miracle in and of itself!

He had a big secret.

Many people do not know Mike was addicted to cocaine and alcohol during most of his adult life.  Consequently, his crack habit cost him his wife and home.  At one point, it almost cost him his business.  Addiction plagued him for over twenty-five years, but, so did prophetic dreams. Even though he was an addict, he told everyone he had a plan.  He claimed God was working through him and his business.  He promised he would someday start a foundation to help the drug dealers and addicts that became his world.

God intervenes

In 2008, Mike had been on a fourteen-day crack cocaine binge.  His drug dealer, Lee, put the word out on the street; no one was to sell to Mike until he got some rest.  Three of his dealers also told him, “You made us a promise that someday you would come back and help us.  We are not going to let you die on us,” they said.  Lee grabbed his phone and took a photo of a disheveled Mike. Talk about a miracle!  He wanted to show him how far gone he was.  “Give me your phone.  I am going to take a picture.  You’re going to need this for your book.” Lee told him.

In January 2009, just ten months later, Mike hit rock bottom.  He found himself praying, “God, I want to wake up in the morning and never have the desire again.”  He woke up the next day and realized something was different.  His desire for drugs was gone.  Mike knew God had bigger plans for him.

When you turn your life over to Jesus, good things happen.

In 2019, Mike’s autobiography, What Are The Odds, was released.  It is an inspiration and it is part of the miracle. The Lindell Foundation was established in 2012.  Funded by proceeds from his company, the foundation supports programs for people battling addiction.  Mike’s journey and life are a testament to what God can do when you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

Believe all things are possible.

Mike does more than just attribute his success to faith and belief in God.  He shares the message of Christ.  When my new bathrobe from the MyPillow arrived, this scripture verse was included:  “Go home to your friends and tell them what wonderful things the Lord has done for you and how merciful he has been.”  Mark 5:19.

When your child’s head hits the pillow tonight, be sure to proclaim what wonderful things the Lord has done

And as you rest on your own pillow, thank the Lord for how merciful he has been.

“Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!”

Psalms 34: 8

This was awesome. Thank you for sharing his story. I have heard him talk about it, but I’ve never fully read his story.
