It has created a New Age of Christian Apologetics.
Cancel culture and censorship of conservative personalities, companies, and government leaders are spreading. Christians around the world are finding themselves on the defensive. Consequently, it has demanded a New Age of Apologetics.Â
Apologetics, in its most basic definition, is the defense of a doctrine. Specifically, it is the defense of divine origin and the authority of Christianity. Censorship is now infecting our faith. The suppression of religious organizations and Christian leaders is a travesty.  It is also a wake-up call for all Christians.
Cancel culture does not have any boundaries.
We need to defend our belief that all authority comes from God. We need to protect our First Amendment Right to Freedom of Religion. The New Age of Apologetics is a battle to defend our faith!Â
Did you know a priest was pulled off the pulpit for sharing his personal beliefs during a sermon? Did you read about the Canadian Minister imprisoned for not following COVID19 restrictions? Do you hear the television series Truth That Transforms on Lifetime was censored with programming content banned? Kevin Sorbo had his Facebook page completely deleted, the reason still unknown.
They say the best defense is a good offense, so:
Be Informed.Â
Mainstream media does not report on censorship of pastors, priests and celebrity personalities. Find alternate news sources for information. Educate yourself. A few good alternative media sources that cover unbiased news and religious topics are LifeSite News, Epoch Times, Right Side Broadcasting, and Christian Science Monitor.
Be Involved.Â
Educate yourself on current bills and legislation. The Equality Act that recently was passed in the House of Representatives is a full-out attack on religious freedom. This legislation prohibits the Religious Freedom Restoration Act of 1993 (RFRA) from providing a claim against a discrimination charge. It explicitly nullifies the provision of RFRA that protects the right of religious groups to conduct their activities and manage their affairs according to their beliefs. Call, email, and write your local legislators and STOP THIS BILL in its tracks!
Be Prayerful.Â
Prayer is and always will be our greatest strength and source of power. If you are living in an area that is restricting church services, meet and pray with friends and neighbors. Continue to ask God for the perseverance and tenacity to fight the fight. Ask HIM to direct and guide you and help others to see the truth. First, pray for our religious leaders. Secondly, we must pray for our legislators. Lastly, get on your knees and pray for our nation.
In moments throughout life, we are called to defend our faith. Now is one of those times. Take an active role in stopping Christian censorship. Be bold! Be vocal! Â
