Just last week, President Donald Trump addressed an audience at Dream City Church in Phoenix, claiming that an initial wave of Pentagon documents about UFOs will be released in the near future.
“We found many very interesting documents, I must say,” Trump said, per Fox News. “And the first releases will begin very, very soon. So, you can go out and see if that phenomenon is correct.”
The subject of UFOs and “aliens” have long fascinated Americans. This frenzy reached its peak, perhaps, in the famous Roswell crash of 1947, in which witnesses claimed to have seen an alien-like aircraft go down in an empty field. The property was locked down tight by the U.S. military at the time, and whatever remnants remained of this mysterious crash were spirited away by the Feds. The secrecy has long stirred theories, speculation, and yes, conspiracies. The official U.S. Air Force explanation for Roswell came in the 1990s, claiming that the debris was simply from “surveillance” balloons. Top secret, of course.
Whether or not you believe the official narrative is up to you, but there have been plenty of puzzling UFO sightings, particularly among U.S. military men and women, as the previous UFO hearings at Capitol Hill have proven. Some people believe they are genuine extraterrestrials, while others believe these sightings could be celestial in nature (angelic, demonic, etc.). Many people also believe they may simply be secret military equipment being tested in the skies, which is why they “look” like alien spacecraft – because it’s technology we’ve never been exposed to!
Wherever you land on this subject, the concept of UFOs and the classified intel that is supposedly about to be released to the public is certainly entertaining and exciting. The Bible does not explicitly mention aliens (the word itself is a modern term), it does allude to celestial beings (Ezekiel 1) and the Nephilim (Genesis 6). There is no explicit teaching on extraterrestrials because, ultimately, it’s not relevant when it comes to the story of the gospel.
Whether ETs or celestial beings exist is an irrelevant question when it comes to salvation. Humans alone are made in the image of God (Imago Dei), and that’s all that matters (Genesis 1:27)! Let nothing frighten you or shake your faith. God is sovereign over all.

He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.
